Bridgestone Group supports Earthquake victims in China

Tokyo (May 10 , 2010) — A subsidiary of Tokyo-based Bridgestone Corporation, Bridgestone（China）Investment Co., Ltd. (BSCN), announced that it has donated RMB 500,000 (equivalent to ¥6.6 million) to aid victims of the earthquake which devastated China’s Qinghai Province on April 14, 2010. The contribution has been made to the China Red Cross. In addition, other members of the Bridgestone Group in
China will donate more than RMB 57,000 (equivalent to ¥0.75 million) to concerned parties.
Bridgestone subsidiaries in
China operate 19 plants, manufacturing tires, tire-related materials or other diversified products.
The Bridgestone Group expresses sincere condolences to the families who lost loved ones in this tragedy and wishes the devastated area a rapid recovery.
